Ryan Welborn Counseling

Ryan Welborn Counseling in Denver and Wheat Ridge Colorado for Individual Therapy and Mental Health and Couples Counseling for Marriage Counseling

Ryan Welborn, LPC

I offer integrative psychotherapy in Denver, Colorado, and via teletherapy. I support individuals navigating emotional pain, trauma, and the complex inner work of personal growth. I believe therapy can be a transformative process—one that helps us reconnect with the core of who we are, deepen our relationships, and live with greater freedom and authenticity.

My clinical foundation includes experience directing an IOP/PHP clinic and working with a wide range of mental health concerns. I specialize in helping individuals explore anxiety, depression, trauma, identity development, life transitions, and patterns that no longer serve them. I draw from an integrative framework that includes ISTDP, psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness-based approaches, and transpersonal psychology.

I also work with couples, drawing from the Gottman Method as well as Stan Tatkin’s Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy (PACT), to support deeper connection, secure functioning, and resilient partnership.

I approach this work with both seriousness and care—a deep respect for the courage it takes to look inward, and a belief in the capacity for healing and growth. I see therapy as a collaborative process, one in which we move beyond surface-level coping and into the emotional truths that create meaningful, lasting change.

Services Offered

  • Individual therapy is a supportive, one-on-one process that helps people explore their emotions, thoughts, and behaviors in a safe, confidential space. It can be helpful for managing anxiety, processing trauma, navigating life transitions, improving relationships, and deepening self-understanding. Therapy offers tools for coping, healing, and growing into a more grounded and connected version of yourself. I bring specific training in Transpersonal Wilderness Therapy and Mindfulness-Based Counseling, while also drawing from elements of Intensive Short-term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and psychodynamic therapy to support each client’s unique path.

  • Couples counseling is a space for partners to strengthen connection, improve communication, and work through challenges together. Whether you're navigating conflict, rebuilding trust, or hoping to deepen intimacy, therapy provides tools to help you better understand each other and create a more secure, fulfilling relationship. I am trained in the Gottman Method and also incorporate aspects of Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT) and the Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy (PACT) to support couples in building lasting, resilient bonds.
